Depends on what you are looking for. I've got *** loads of USB C ports on my MSI MEG X870E GODLIKE.

Yea 7 definitely trumps my 4... on my motherboard at 1/2 the price... but I'm pretty sure that's what you're pointing out.

Well the point is that there are boards out there with stupid amounts of ports. But yes, that extra connectivity usually comes at higher price points.

Hello guys im new to the forum. I have picked up this board for €109/ 125$ last week. I'm pairing it with a Ryzen 5 7500x3d but i'm worried that i maybe bought the wrong board. I learned about the problems that x3d cpu's have with ASRock boards and now im worried. Should i return it and buy a board from MSI or Gigabyte? Or should i keep it?​

I learned about the problems that x3d cpu's have with ASRock boards and now im worried. Should i return it and buy a board from MSI or Gigabyte? Or should i keep it?​

Do you plan on over clocking? You're likely going to be fine just get the bios updated and dont do more than memory profile over clocking and you will be solid.

Most of the x3d death shenanigans have been related to the 9000 series. I think it's also difficult to infer causation/failure rate based on user internet reports as those that have issues tend to be loudest...

Do you plan on over clocking? You're likely going to be fine just get the bios updated and dont do more than memory profile over clocking and you will be solid.

Its been 9 years since i built my first pc so i dont know what has changed when it comes to cpu and ram performance. I might overclock it just a little, nothing crazy. Only if its safe and worth to do so. Right now i'm able to pick up some nice boards from ASUS at a reasonable price plus there is a cashback right now on most of these products. Some other boards from Gigabyte and MSI are sold at a discount on german Amazon right now. Ive been too long out of the game and thats why i trust you guys more with these things

Yeah thats something i also noticed. I picked the 7500X3D because i found the performance quite good for 200 euro's compared to the other processors which are available here. And right now i can't find any case or reddit post which features a 7500X3D being fried by either an ASRock or ASUS motherboard.

I have the B850 Pro RS. Don't load BIOS defaults. At least that's the only scary thing on my mobo. CPU speed dropped to 600 MHz, temperature went above 95C, 97C when I saw it and immediately went and loaded my saved profile and rebooted. Things were back to normal. I also wouldn't advise turning on PBO and especially don't mess with scalar and keep it at 1x.
