Is 100 Hz too lowly for a gaming monitor? For ASRock, the answer to that is a pretty clear "no," having launched new Challenger Series monitors this week that only feature IPS panels with a 100 Hz refresh rate. This specification is lower than what some of the other manufacturers have deemed to be the bare minimum, with GIGABYTE and ASUS's gaming monitors seemingly starting at 120 Hz—although to be fair, MSI is even more lax, offering gaming monitors that are limited to 60 Hz. ASRock did clarify that its new CL25FF (24.5 inch) and CL27FF (27 inch) Full HD monitors are only meant for "light gaming."

Most games barely run at 30FPS on most people's hardware, but I guess they need 240hz monitors. LOL
