Acer and ASUS have been dealt a blow in court, which has now banned the two companies from directly selling certain products in Germany.

Yeesh how did the makers of the cards or SOCs not get tagged?
 
I recommend folks click on the link I put in the post going to Nokia's page regarding it's licensing. Basically the Nokia most of us know (cameras and copiers - they still make those) has transformed itself over the last 20 years and heavily expanded into video codecs. I had no clue until this story came up and was really surprised how deeply invested they are (to the tune of billions, also in the post).
 
So Nokia is to cellular what... what was that huge telecom company... Nortel that's the one was to wired infrastructure.
 
Funny I was reminded they had been in the phone business this morning when watching an ad for something else and I spotted one in the ad.
