Cough Cough Hack!

It is nice when you see the bad guy actually caught for once. Especially one who brags about infecting almost a million computers.

Due to that bragging Avast was able to pinpoint the criminal through a phone number, Facebook, and an email address.

The program the guy made didn’t just do ransomware but also cryptojacking and information stealing also. Nasty stuff.

He was raking in over a million a month. What use is that when you are in jail though after being caught?

Crime does not pay. Especially when you ruin a lot of peoples lives like this guy did.

I find that interesting. I wonder if being in France will have any effect. Like can the offenders assets be frozen and redistributed to their victims? THEN they have to pay lawyers fees or rely on the French version of a public defender.... whatever that may be?
