Electronic Arts and DICE today announced the latest installment of their popular military first-person shooter, Battlefield 2042. Marking the return of “all-out warfare in a new, unmatched, epic-scale experience,” Battlefield 2042 will drop players into the boots of a new type of playable soldier called Specialists who must fight in a near-future world ravaged by various disasters. Supporting up to 128 players, Battlefield 2042 will be released on October 22, 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC via Origin, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

I haven't played a BF game since Bad Company 2, since the ones after that in the series were on Origin. Glad to see this one is coming to Steam. I used Origin for about a year while playing Apex Legends and it was a horrible experience. Depending on the reviews, I may actually pick this one up, on Steam.
