I have never before seen such pure unadulterated garbage as the Biostar boards I have used.

I don't trust them to improve on this.

Maybe both? Not entirely clear. The board I got in the Haswell era was missing various sleep states in the BIOS, but also didn't have working fan control, and I struggled getting it stable.
