Blizzard Cancels World of Warcraft MMORPG for Smartphones

It appears that Blizzard intends to keep the Warcraft MMORPG experience on PC for the time being.

Next year: Blizzard announces World of Warcraft Tactics, a micro- transaction laden abomination based on Warcraft, and oh yea, no more support for legacy pc games.
Everyone will moan, and three months later they will announce 100 million dollar profit first 30 days since launched.

Guess we see what Microsoft wants to do with it.

It was clear that Activision had a very strong Mobile direction they were going in, and were pushing their subsidiaries in that direction. I don't know that Microsoft will necessary continue on in that vein. We could start seeing a renewed console push...

I’m trying to grasp how WoW could possibly work on a mobile device and all I come up with is that whoever thought it might be a good idea needs to have their head examined.
