Cable Companies Must Offer Free Internet to Millions of Low-Income Homes under Affordable Connectivity Program

That is what we see for my inlaws currently. The upfront cost then the monthly cost of 100 some odd that jumps after I think 6 months. Maybe it's regional?
Hmm.

The cost of connecting to the internet via Starlink satellite has gone up, with new pricing for the SpaceX service set at $110 per month, up from the original rate of $99. Additionally, the one-time hardware fee for Starlink's receiver dish is now $599, up from $499.

If you have access to FIOS, do it. BUT if it's Frontier, get ready for a wheelbarrow of BS, bc they suck at every level. If you can survive the signup process and make it to the physical install phase, you should be ok. The contractors they use are all leftover Verizon guys so they might have a clue.

I agree with others, Internet should be a utility by this point.
