CaseLabs is making a comeback thanks to new ownership. The new owner, Emil Rytterstedt, has been in communication with Gamers Nexus, providing details regarding the revival. The strategy is to use the original designs at first and then move on to new products. It will be a challenge for the new team to learn the fabrication processes needed for the various parts. Emil has stated that keeping the original spirit of the company is of utmost importance. He is a believer in the right to repair.

Figures.

They wait until after I spend money and time on this god awful Corsair 1000D to decide to come back.

Glad they are back though. Maybe for my next build in several years. I have a feeling this case and water loop will be with me for some time to come.

I'm really really tempted to build up my woodshop and just start making my own, just for the fun of it.

With how much these things are starting to cost, making your own is starting to sound like a better and better idea.

Now sure I am crazy about using wood as a case material though, though it might match the new EK Lignum blocks :p

I really would like something better laid out that this define 7 XL that I have. A 360 and a 420 rad aren’t as much space as I would like cooling wise. I’ll have to keep an eye on this

I have never used their cases, but they always intrigued me. Glad they are back, and maybe someday I'll try one out.

Yeah, I used to always roll My eyes at them because they would sell cases that were 20-50 percent larger than tforhe competition for anywhere from 4x to 8x more money than the competition, but I'd be open to considering them the next time I am shopping.

On my short short list for a new case. Just built right.

I've got the Thermaltake clone of the one pictured above. A real one would be nicer I'm sure, but I just can't justify the cost.

Yeah, that's the part I never understood about Caselabs.

How on earth do you go out of business charging like 5x what everyone else does for a similar item?

The place must have been HORRIBLY mismanaged.

They might charge 5x what others did for a case, but it isn't enough when you only sell single digit numbers in a month and have staff and operating costs to pay for.
