DarkFlash has announced an open gaming case called the Blade-X for PC enthusiasts seeking something more unique. Featuring a “non-directional structure,” its design gives builders a wider range of options. It can house up to 420 mm AIOs, a reservoir tank, two 2.5-inch drives, and additional drive bays in the system tray. The tray features ARGB strips and is compatible with ATX, M-ATX, or ITX motherboards. It is on sale for $349 but currently sold out...

A 350 dollar case that will make it easier for my cat to deastroy my pc... thanks. Lol. It does nothing to enhance performance.. is good for reviewers and that's about it. You want channeled air flow for good air cooling and even to properly utilize radiators in water cooling. That and 350 bucks... no thank you.

Yeah, the price is a bit much but I do find it interesting how it is like a workbench/case crossover design. Closer to half the price would make more sense but they still managed to sell out even at $300-$350.

I hear ya about the pet dynamic though. Seems like a nicely designed clear Plexi with vents that could drop over it when in a standing position could be nice. Another idea is a complete enclosure with a hinged lid/door that it could be set in. I've been wanting to get into a new open-case design so I can tinker with adding a custom loop for my CPU/GPU but have held off for most of the same reasons, plus dust.

This one isn't as snazzy looking, but it is also $40

edit, oh that one is ITX. I found this one which has ATX, MATX, ITX sizes. ATX is $49

Or there is my old Ratpadz XL that I screwed standoffs into so I could mount a mobo on it.... if only I could find the thing. I know I didn't throw it away
