Dead Space Not Releasing until 2023, EA and Motive Want It to Be Just as Good as RE2 Remake

If you’ve been playing through the original trilogy of Dead Space games to prep for EA Motive’s upcoming remake of Visceral’s creepy classic, do not rush yourself, as the latest reports indicate that the title won’t be releasing until next year.



EA was originally targeting an October 2022 release for Dead Space but has now pushed the game back to an early 2023 timeframe, according to a report from GamesBeat that suggested the delay was largely for quality assurance purposes. While Dead Space is already reportedly making folks at EA very happy, Motive is taking the extra time to ensure that it lives up to the original and is just as good of a remake as Capcom’s Resident Evil 2, an effort that’s been acclaimed for not only its graphical overhaul but gameplay changes that don’t violate the PlayStation classic.

Sorta bummed on this but if it really does mean more effort into a quality game then I'm all for it. However, if it's just so EA can cram more microtransaction/loot box crap into then that's another story.
