TiMi Studio Group has officially announced Delta Force: Hawk Ops, a reboot of the iconic first-person shooter video game series that NovaLogic originally introduced to PC gamers over two decades ago under the Voxel Space engine. The new game, which is being led by Call of Duty: Mobile and CrossFire Mobile veterans, will feature three distinct game modes, including Havoc Warfare (PvP), Hazard Operations (an extraction mode), and Black Hawk Down, a campaign mode inspired by Ridley Scott's 2001 film. Four operators have been detailed on the official website.

I used to like the idea behind Novalogic's Delta Force games, but in practice they always fell flat due to their wonky voxel engine, that was not just considerably uglier than anything else by that time, but also never ran over 15FPS on my PC.

I'm not getting too excited for this, as tactical shooters are really hard to get right. Plus from the description it sounds like the campaign might be a 5 hour afterthought instead of the main focus of the game.

I really enjoyed the old Novalogic games for their game play. LAN parties were always a blast with these games. I'll probably check this one out more closely on release.
