Following a tumultuous, and less than stellar game release, Blizzard is undergoing some changes. The Diablo series team has gained Rod Fergusson in a leadership role. Well, hmm...

Blizz already had to dig D3 out of a ditch with the RMT AH snafu, and more recently "Do you guys not have phones!"

I can't see how Rod can do anything but help.

Unless they are giving Rod a year to get the developers back to developing and get the corporate shills out of the process again then I don't see this going anywhere worthwhile.

Honestly if I were in leadership at Blizzard I would look at how I could shutter the company, get small again and work their way back into the good graces of the gaming community. They have burned so many bridges with fans that I'm hard pressed to even install the battle.net client on my system, and that's only so I can communicate with old friends.
