So, it's been raining for days where I live, and a few leaks have appeared on the ceiling.

One of them was right above an unboxed bare AMD MSI B550 MB. I found out in the morning when I heard the drops falling. I quickly grabbed the MB and a few drops came out of it.

I used a towel to clean it, doesn't seem like it's wet anymore. I fear trying it right away. Should I use say a hair dryer or something else to try before I test it?

I would clean the affected area's with isopropyl alcohol and let it completely dry b4 testin,g it, but usually if not powered on it should be fine .

You're gonna need a lot of rice.

(just kidding)

If you can identify any corrosion or staining on any traces, an old trick is to use a pencil eraser (carefully) to clean them.

There doesn't seem to be any kind of corrosion as far as I can tell. I cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol and left it out on the sun for a couple of hours.

Coincidentally it started raining again a couple of hours later.

The only issue is things powered by the CMOS battery being shorted. Outside of that, the chances of an unpowered board being damaged by water is nearly zero. Technically water doesn't damage electronics. Well, fresh water. Salt water can and will cause rapid corrosion.
