It was a mixed bag. Back then I was still playing the real thing with friends and I remember not being very impressed by them at the time. However, there were those in the PC community that really liked them.This is from b4 my time playing video games, not sure if they hokd up these days.

Some games that used to use such things have been updated with an app that simulates one or they've employed some other in-game solution.Does Pool of Radiance come with a new code wheel, LOL? I don't have my old C64 one any more.

It's all good. A while back I got a DosBox game, I don't remember which but I do remember the original used one of those things and the updated version had an app for it.I did not know that. Also I was joking, no way they would still use those methods anymore.
