Techland has released a new patch for Dying Light 2 to add improvements for DLSS and other fixes for the long-awaited sequel. The DLSS implementation has been said to suffer from blurring and ghosting issues that often plague titles at release. The improvements are aimed at improving them, but it’s been reported that they do still persist. Other fixes include the ability to now rebind mouse buttons, but Techland has said it is still working on a solution for extra mouse buttons along with some of the game-crashing bugs.

The mouse button issue was huge to me.

I refunded this game because of it.

I actually got the patch just before my refund request went through and checked it, just in case I wanted to cancel the refund.

It looks to me like they only partially fixed the mouse button rebind issue.

Previously you couldn't bind mouse buttons in the GUI at all. They would pop up with some cryptic reference to mousebutton B4095 or something like that, but when you saved the settings and exited out of the menu, it was not persistent, so you couldn't use it.

Now it will actually allow you to re-bind mouse buttons, but this is revealing other problems.

For instance, in the game, blocking (which is important since this is a very melee based game) is hard coded to mouse button 2. Now you can bind something else to mouse button 2 if you'd like, but then you lose the ability in game to block.

There are other hard coded key binds. For instance, expert grappling hook is hard coded to left alt, and cant be changed (at least not in the gui, maybe it can be in the config files)

I think I am going to wait for this one to mature a little bit before I buy it again. Luckily I have plenty of games in my Steam backlog. I can be patient.
