Embracer Group Shuts Down Campfire Cabal, a New RPG Studio Formed Last Year

Campfire Cabal has revealed that it is the latest studio to be shuttered by Embracer Group as part of the video game and media holding company's comprehensive restructuring program for reducing debt. Jonas Wæver, Creative Director of Campfire Cabal, shared the news on Linkedin earlier this week, explaining that the decision had nothing to do with the quality of the studio's work and was done "from a purely financial standpoint." Campfire Cabal's staff included veterans from the highly acclaimed Expeditions games (e.g., Expeditions: Rome), according to the official website.
