Valve recently announced a new portable gaming PC called the Steam Deck that is garnering a lot of praise. Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney has expressed how amazing it is that the OS for the device will be based on an open platform that allows users to install their own software. This is rare with portable devices, which usually feature locked-in ecosystems. Users may be able to install both Steam and the Epic Games Store, and perhaps even other game stores such as GOG or Xbox Games Store.
