The Epic Games Store has announced that it will be launching a new achievements system next week for users who haven’t been satisfied with the current system and how it compares to those offered by competitors such as Steam.
While achievements have already existed on the store in the form of “developer achievements” since last year, the latest system aims to be better with achievements that are now sorted into four tiers comprising Bronze to Platinum awards. Epic says that its new achievements platform also includes new tools for developers, which will allow them to implement achievements more quickly and easily.
Rocket League, Hades, Pillars of Eternity, Kena, Zombie Army 4, and Alan Wake Remastered will be some of the first games to implement Epic Games’ new achievements system.
