FDA Bans Juul E-Cigarettes from U.S. Shelves

Could it be that the tobacco industry is financing the government in their war on vaping? My tin foil hat says yes.
Sounds plausible to me. I still have doubts about it and only time will really tell but fair points to be sure.

I'm wondering if I see some of those benefits on the threadripper.
Another big benefit on the 5800 is that there is only 1 CCD - nothing has to jump across infinity fabric. If you lock your TR to just the cores on a single CCD you might get at that.

I’m not a Juul fan, but bans like this often push folks to another brand. I quit cigs 5 years ago and moved to open systems so I could dial nicotine to 3 mg and stick with it. Pods felt limiting and pricey. Refillables also cut waste. If the goal is fewer kids vaping, tighter age checks and marketing rules worked better where I live.

These days I’m on an <SPAMMER LINK REMOVED> around 45 W, top airflow’s been leak free. Picked it up at the vape shop in Horgen, easy CHF purchase and quick shipping.

I have no issues with those who vape per se, but I still insist they take that **** outside.

The idea that it is OK to do it indoors (especially when you live with other people, or in a building with other apartments) is the part that really ruffles my feathers.

I don't care if it is -40 degrees out. If you need to vape, take it outdoors. None of that bullshit "near the vent" or "I cracked the window" is ever going to be acceptable.

Honestly I wish they'd just ban it all so I can be forced to quit.

I'd be in HR lodging a complaint within 5 minutes of seeing that the first time, and if they didn't address it, I'd in no uncertain terms let them know about my disappointment and find another job.

I don't put up with **** like that from anyone.

I vape in my office all the time.

I also work from home.

Your home, your decision. At least if you own it and don't have room/house mates.

But I am not going to lie, I kind of find that a little gross.

If someone did that in my house I'd be tempted to kick them out. Yeah, I can smell even the unscented varieties, and they can leave quite the sticky gross mess if someone vapes a lot in the same location. I've seen the inside of some computers used by heavy vapers and it can get quite gross.

If I lived in a condo or an apartment where I shared walls with other units, and I could smell vapes in my unit all the time I would be absolutely livid.

The best neighbors are the ones you never smell. (or hear, but especially never smell)

The sooner we kill the false notion that vaping is consequence free the better. It may not harm health as much as burning tobacco, but it still isn't good (and can be WAY more addictive) and there are effects on the space you vape in when vaping indoors (buildings, cars, furniture, electronics, curtains, PC's, etc. etc.) not to mention second hand exposure on other people.

Vaping is not safe. It is not safe for you, not safe for the people around you, and not safe for your physical space. Maybe not as severe as cigarettes, but still not safe. And no one should be forced to put up with that against their will.

Govern me harder, daddy!

Your high horse is amusing, to say the least.

Fun times when a thread gets necro'ed by a spammer that took over an actual user account that was old enough to get past the moderate every post filter.

When did I say anything about regulation or governing?

We just need to be real about the facts, and then people can do with that as they want, as long as they are not harming others.

The issue is that a lot of people (especially young people) are making dumb decisions because they think it is harmless, but it isn't,
