Final Fantasy XVI Won’t Be on PC Six Months After PS5 Release, More Time Required for Optimization

Final Fantasy fans who want to play the latest installment of Square Enix's premier RPG franchise sooner rather than later are going to need a PlayStation 5. Speaking to the Japanese PS Blog staff, Final Fantasy XVI producer Naoki Yoshida confirmed that the game will not be available for PC six months after the PS5 version as previously suggested, clarifying that while the game is technically only a six-month limited-time exclusive for Sony's next-gen console, PC gamers may have to wait much longer for what will presumably be the definitive FFXVI experience. Yoshida explained that the FFXVI team needed more time to optimize the game for PC.
