As theaters once again continue in their efforts to reopen, we are seeing more studios readying themselves for new releases. Denis Villeneuve’s Dune is one of the latest to get a new trailer for its upcoming December 18 release. Rumor has it that if it does well, the Blade Runner 2049 director will make a sequel.

Already have read how they changed the story in the leaks so far. Also have read the interviews with Denis Villeneuve. So no, thanks, I'm good.
Yeah, the material really did not need any changes imho. It already covered just about everything you could hope for. Started re-watching the Sci-Fi version yesterday(I think I watched the BD of the theatrical about a month ago) and was reminded how both have their strengths and weaknesses. But both have more similarities than drastic character changes.
