The potential prices for GIGABYTE’s upcoming Z690 AORUS MASTER and Z690 AORUS ELITE AX motherboards have been teased by an Australian retailer.

According to listings spotted by momomo_us, the Z690 AORUS MASTER will cost $768.90 AUD, while the Z690 AORUS ELITE AX will cost $439.90 AUD. This translates to around $573 and $327 in USD, respectively.

Doesn't sound like these will be the end cost when released here in the U.S.

The AORUS MASTER is usually around $400-$500 in the U.S.

Motherboard prices have been rising for the last few years. X570 and Z490 motherboards could hit as much as $1,000. I've seen Z590 motherboards that were upwards of $1,500. Granted, those are usually limited edition offerings that are equipped with monoblocks but still. The prices are getting absurd, and I'm the kind of guy who normally buys crap like that.

I miss when $150 pretty much bought you top-tier motherboards. Anything below $200 really. My last motherboard cost me $400, but my brain usually blocks that memory out.

The prices are getting absurd
They really f*ckin' are.

Also is it just me, or have fan prices been going up too, over the last 7 years or so?
