Santa Monica Studio revealed today that its critically acclaimed action-adventure game, God of War, is no longer exclusive to PlayStation. The title will be released for the PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on January 14, 2022, with a slew of exciting features that include 4K resolution, unlocked framerates, ultra-widescreen support, and extensive keyboard mapping customization. More choice and lack of exclusives is positive.

Personally I really don't care.

I'm not into this 3rd person console trash. They can keep it on the Playstation for all I care :p

Sooooo f*cking happy to see one of my favorite games of the 8th generation showing up on PC. Like with Horizon Zero Dawn, I very badly wished God of War 4 was on PC when I was playing it on PS4, and I never would have touched it on console if I knew it was coming to PC. Better late than never though. At least I only had to pay $10 for a physical copy of the game back in 2019.

While I enjoyed previous God of War games (although I thought most of 'em were a bit too hard), especially 3 on PS3 and Ghost of Sparta on PSP, I was never really into the series. God of War 4 surprised the f*ck outta me. That sh1t grabbed me and did not let go until the very end. It was an amazing ride the whole way through. I had a f*cking blast pretty much the entire time. Just an excellent game all around. A very memorable video gaming experience. Cory Barlog and his crew really busted their @sses off, and it shows. The game's development took a heavy toll on him, and he came out the other side looking noticeably worn, tired, and older, but all his efforts really f*ckin paid off. A game like this should not be locked to one platform. Again, I can NOT express how happy I am that it will finally be available on PC.

More choice and lack of exclusives is positive.
D4mn straight. Personally I feel that every single video game should be available on the platform where it runs, looks, and plays best - PC.

I mean, I wouldnt FORCE anyone to port their title to all platforms. That could quickly get out of hand, but I would support some kind of measures to prevent exclusives by design. And not just platform based, but store/launcher based as well.
