God of War Laufey Revealed, and PC Players Are Almost Certainly Locked Out

Sure building a PC might have become a game in itself, but it all started with gaming, without that motivation doubt anyone would've gotten involved with PC building as a hobby.
100%. Parents bought the DOS/Windows 3.1 era PCs for productivity purposes but it was their kids who catapulted the DIY PC market through gaming into the de-facto global scale murder of the alternative personal computers of the time including the Macintosh. Gabe started Valve when he discovered that Doom was installed on more PCs worldwide than Windows. The number of people who upgrade their PCs just for speeding up productivity tasks pales in comparison to the upgrades done by gamers. When it became apparent that most modern games needed 32GB minimum RAM for best performance, many gamers with bigger wallets upgraded to 64GB RAM to future proof their PCs. Both Xbox One and PS4 came with huge RAM upgrades not because Microsoft and Sony were feeling charitable but because they wanted to lure the PC gaming crowd into console gaming. "WE" and not crypto and not AI enabled Nvidia to be what they are today but how has Jensen showed his gratitude to us? This is why I've shunned Nvidia since the RTX 4000 series.

I honestly have no clue how much RAM is in any of the consoles. That was never a selling point. It was all about the games (and the fact that the PS3 was the cheapest bluray movie player on the market).

But that was before Sony betrayed me twice. First they said, no our exclusives will never be on PC, then around 2022 they started putting them on PC, and I felt like a fool. I could've played all those games the proper way in high resolution with kb+m controls, instead of struggling with the banana stick.

I would've let that slide, but now they decided to show the middle finger again before they released any SP exclusives that I haven't already played on PS4? Are they trying to tell me they are not interested in free money? Why should I believe it now? I fully expect them to go back on this within 3 years if not less. So I decided I'm not buying any Sony games or consoles. And frankly it wasn't a hard decision, in fact they are making it easier with every game they announce. Never mind the uglified female protagonists, a jelly cube? Forspoken called and wants its cringe back.

I was the fool who bought Xbox One. Then PS4. Then sold Xbox One and got Xbox One S. Then sold PS4 and bought PS4 Pro. Then bought Xbox One X without selling Xbox One S. I had made up my mind not to get Xbox Series whatever (it hardly has any games that I want and the proprietary SSD expansion was a beyond stupid move). Was determined to get only the PS5 Pro whenever that launched but during COVID, somehow got this uncontrollable urge to play Gran Turismo 7 and plopped over $750 on the standard PS5 that was being scalped. So now I have no plans for buying any future consoles but who knows?
