Gran Turismo 7 to Feature at Least 420 Different Cars and Over 90 Racing Tracks

Gran Turismo fans should plan accordingly for the seventh installment of Polyphony Digital’s real driving simulator, as the latest in the storied franchise is set to debut with a ton of content.



This is according to a retail booklet for Gran Turismo 7 that was discovered at Japanese electronics retailer Yodobashi Camera and shared by GT Planet, which reveals that the game will feature not only a commendable amount of cars, but also a ton of tracks, for owners to indulge their racing fantasies in. Players can expect at least 420 vehicles and 90 racing tracks.

No Gran Turismo game has ever entertained me for as long as GT3:A Spec has. Thousands of hours I spent playing that game. Played a lot of GT2, but I got it late in the cycle, but GT2 was also a great game for it's time. GT4 was just a rebranded GT3 w/ few more tracks and cars. GT5 wasn't impressive. Didn't bother with GT6 due to the impression I got with GT5. Perhaps I will give GT7 a trial run on someone else's Playstation. Don't care to waste money on what will probably be nothing exciting.

GT3? Really? I've spent the least amount of time on that.
There hasn't been a GT game since 2013 so if this does not excite you, then the issue lies with you. (No Sport does not count)

I played GT2, but didn't own the game or a Playstation for that matter. I just played on my friends a good bit when I was over there hanging out. That same year they released GranTurismo 3 w/ PS2 bundle package deal and that's when I bought my first Playstation. So, for a long time the only game I had on my PS2 was Gran Turismo 3.

As for the stab at me; cool. My issue that a good GT game hasn't been made in over a decade and I'M the problem. Right on brother.

You sound like someone way too bitter, resenting and jaded.

You were suggesting that the last good GT game was 3, which is ludicrous. So stop hitting me with them negative waves so early in the morning.

I'm in the exact same boat as @LeRoy_Blanchard with this. I had 1 & 2 on my original PS One. Loved 'em both but was totally blown away by 3 A-Spec. I spent so much time not only racing and customizing my cars but also just enjoying the virtual encyclopedia of cars that game had. It even inspired me to get the component video cable for my PS2 so I could enjoy 1080i/720p with it on my early 1080p TVs and projectors. That was the last console I owned though. I think it's great they're putting some effort into this one but I've no reason to invest in another console again. I also kind of doubt Sony will bring this over to PC but it sure would be nice.

Yet, 3 still holds the record for the most copies sold. So I'm not the only one who thinks the GT series has been going downhill ever since.

Although I think GT4 was better in a sense that it was basically the same as 3, but with a lot more tracks and cars.

I still spent way more time on 3 than any other GT game. My PS2 literally stayed on for weeks or months at a time with only that game running. Only other game I played in my PS2 was GTA.

I've played both GT5 and GT6 and neither one impressed me as much as GT3 did.

I've played every GT game, I own all except 4 and 6, I don't know why all my best memories are with 3. I also feel like 3 was the one I spent the most time with. I tried hard to get into 5 and 6 but it wasn't happening. I have Sport but I've barely touched it, so can't really comment on it. I got interested in Forza when GT4 was out (GT4 didn't grab me for some reason), but Forza has been hit-or-miss with me too. I didn't like Forza 2, 3 was okay, 4 was great, didn't like 5, 6 was good I seem to recall, never played Forza 7. When it comes to Gran Turismo, after 3 I've just never really liked the series as much. For me, 3 was the height of it. 3 was one of the games that made me want to get a PS2. I'll still give GT7 a shot. Would indeed be very nice if it makes it to PC, as Peter said. I'm hoping all PS5 exclusives will come to PC, and then I won't have to bother with the system.
