Activision has released the reveal trailer for its next Call of Duty: Black Ops game, Cold War, and it looks pretty great. While this is strictly a cinematic showcase with little to no gameplay footage, it does prove that developers Treyarch and Raven Software have been working with a stunning graphics engine (President Ronald Reagan certainly looks real enough to us).



As previously noted, Cold War is a prequel to the original Black Ops game, but this time around, Raven (Heretic, Quake IV, Singularity, Wolfenstein) is taking the reins for the single-player campaign. That's a great CG model of Reagan.

Raven has been a support studio for the Call of Duty series for a long while now, I believe since the original Modern Warfare. They generally craft good narratives with the gameplay to go around it, so I'm interested in seeing what they do.

Raven one of the last old great studios still alive in some form at least. They did Voyager Elite force over 20 years ago.
