Pew Research Center conducted a survey this summer with some rather interesting results. It was mostly focused on internet or privacy related topics ranging from phishing scams to private browsing. The ten question, multiple choice, survey illustrated correlations between educational levels and digital knowledge. Those with higher degrees often held double digit percentage gains in correctly answering this survey. It should be noted though that younger adults often scored quite high. In the end though, and not too surprising, our knowledge here in the U.S. can vary quite a bit from person to person depending on age and education.

I’ll let the numbers speak for themselves here on these charts but I recommend visiting their site to read the report. There’s a lot of analytical metrics to explore. Thanks to Techspot for reporting on this interesting story that could’ve slipped under the radar.
