Controversial anti-piracy DRM Denuvo has been dropped from another game, Humankind, due to concerns of its impact on performance. This decision follows Resident Evil Village, the cracked version of which performed better than the original release. BioWare also removed Denovo from Mass Effect Legendary Edition in June, presumably to improve performance and/or decrease its install size. Amplitude Studios announced that despite fears of piracy, it would take Denuvo out to ensure that players could have the best possible gaming experience. Humankind will release on August 17.
