Intel's Cascade Lake-X HEDT lineup (which is slated for release this month) has leaked on Chinese video-sharing site Bilibili. There are supposedly four SKUs in total: the i9-10980XE, i9-10940X, i9-10920X, and i9-10900X.

Metrics for the latter have already popped up on Geekbench, but they allude only to minor performance improvements over the previous generation's Skylake X i9-9900X. The Cascade Lake-X part managed a single-core score of 5204 (vs. 5202) and multi-core score of 39717 (vs. 40260).

The Core i9-10900X is a 10-core and 20-thread CPU is likely to become a lower tier in the family. It is a successor to Core i9-9900X, which features 10 cores and 3.5/4.4 GHz clock speeds (for base and turbo respectively). The Core i9-10900X would sport a 200 MHz higher base clock (3.7 GHz).

OOOOOH AAaahahhh... cogh... what? Really that's it? A genrational upgrade.. did the document what of the recent CPU vulnerabilities are patched in this round as well?

Does that mean price is getting cut in half? Didn't they say 2x perf/$? If performance is the same, cost must be getting cut right? *crickets*
