Back in November Intel released information for their upcoming NUC 10 kits and mini PC's and now they've begun to show up at various retailers. These little workhorses come in a variety of configurations and prices ranging from around $680 to upwards of $1300. The new Frost Canyon 6C/12T CPU comes clocked at 1.1 Ghz with a turbo boost to 4.7 Ghz. The integrated GPU clocks at 300 Mhz and boosts to 1.15 Ghz with a maximum resolution of 4096x2304/60Hz.

Some specifications for both NUC 10 kits and mini PC's:

  • Ram configurations of DDR4 SODIMM, 8 GB or 16 GB dual channel DDR4-2666Mhz
  • Storage options including either M.2 256GB NVMe/1 TB SATA 3 HDD/16 GB Intel Optane+1 TB SATA 3
  • HDMI 2.0a
  • Thunderbolt 3
  • Front USB 3.1 Gen2 Type C, Rear 2x USB 3.1 Gen2
  • Intel WiFi 6 and BT 5.0
  • SDXC Card Slot
Some configurations are region specific so be sure to check when ordering. The kits do not include an OS either so that is something to take into consideration if building one of your own. Here's a link to Intel to assist in information for the many models and their respective regions. Here's a link to Amazon to see the many options they have available there but be aware NewEgg and other retailers are now listing these as well.
