Intel has finally launched its first 10 nm "Ice Lake" processors. These comprise eleven 10th gen Core SKUs designed for 2 in 1s and laptops, which include all-new AI-centric features such as Intel Deep Learning Boost (an instruction set that accelerates neural networks), one teraflop of GPU engine compute, and Intel Gaussian & Neural Accelerator (GNA, a dedicated engine for background workloads).

The chips also flaunt Gen11 Iris Plus Graphics, which Intel says is capable of handling 1080p gaming. They are the first GPUs from the company to support VESA Adaptive Sync, as well as variable rate shading.

“These 10th Gen Intel Core processors shift the paradigm for what it means to deliver leadership in mobile PC platforms. With broad-scale AI for the first time on PCs, an all-new graphics architecture, best-in-class Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+) and Thunderbolt 3 – all integrated onto the SoC, thanks to Intel’s 10nm process technology and architecture design – we’re opening the door to an entirely new range of experiences and innovations for the laptop.”
