Things are going from bad to worse for Huawei. Bloomberg’s sources say Intel, Qualcomm, Broadcom, and Xilinx have joined in on the supply ban, cutting off their supplies to the Chinese telecommunications giant. German semiconductor company Infineon has also opted to halt shipments to Huawei, according to Nikkei.

On the software front, there is speculation that Microsoft may block Windows 10 updates for Huawei laptops. TechRadar reached out to the company and received a statement that they have nothing to share. Of course, that doesn’t serve as a denial.

The effective trade ban could seriously damage Huawei's ability to do business. The company depends on Intel chips both for its servers as well as PCs like the MateBook X Pro. Broadcom and Xilinx supply chips for its networking business. And while Huawei makes its own processors for many of its phones, it may still need Qualcomm for some chips.
