Is Safe to Use a New Discontinued PSU?

Hi Guys, I'm building my new PC and I had obtained a brand new CORSAIR HX1000W, first edition from 2010 that has been storage since and never has been used.
I believe that its possible to use it without issues because i dont plan to consume more than 500W but prefer to hear some recommendations.

If it hasn't been used, it should be perfectly fine so long as it wasn't stored in conditions that would have damaged it.

I had one of those for many years. Should be fine.

That unit has a lot of wet electrolytics. They degrade whether stored or used.
