The MyView Smart Monitor (model 34SR65QC), a new display from LG that is the company's first to feature a curved, 21:9 aspect ratio UltraWide screen, is launching globally starting in the U.S and Korea in August, with availability in other markets to follow soon after, LG has announced.

Ugh, smart monitors now? I didn't want that crap on HDTVs, and now it has trickled over to monitors. Fantastic. At least offer cheaper versions of the same models that don't include any of that crap. I don't need my displays to be computers in and of themselves, with multi-core processors, Internet access, running some kind of simplified OS, and running apps.
 
and a VA panel to boot.
Oh wow, I missed that. The last time I used a VA panel (which was a curved monitor too, which I also didn't like), I ended up selling the monitor within 8 months of getting it. When it comes to LCDs, VA panels are not for me. I'm an IPS guy.
