Linux has managed to cross another major milestone, according to new statistics from statcounter.com that show how the 32-year-old, open-source OS now enjoys a worldwide market share of over 4%—4.03%, based on February's numbers, to be exact.

I wonder if Steam Deck helped with that.

These days I dual-boot both Windows and Linux. I used to main Windows and just f*ck around with Linux (since the mid 2000s), but now I main Linux and use Windows as a secondary OS.
 
I have a feeling.whwt helped with this is broadcom changing licensing for VMware so a lot of enterprises are more dedicatedly trying Linux open source virtual hosting software. I intend to with some hosts I'm going to retire.
 
I've been mainly using QEMU/KVM for my VM needs. Back in the 2000s I used VirtualBox, but in the future I intend to mess around with GPU passthrough, so at some point I'm gonna finally mess with VMWare. I ain't paying them sh1t though.
