MakeMKV?

Looks like they forgot to pay the rent. I've been a long time MakeMKV/Handbrake guy.

What are people doing now to rip their personal home movies?

Found EaseFab LosslessCopy and VideoSolo BD-DVD ripper.

Neither are free but not horribly expensive. Both seem to work on a demo trial. Not sure if anyone has any experience with either or something they would recommend.

Handbrake can't copy my encrypted** personal home movies straight from disc. It can only transcode after the encryption is removed - which is what I have been using MakeMKV for.

**well, it can for DVDs with some tweaking, but I don't think it can handle blu-rays.

Ahhh I see what you are talking about now. Luckily for me I have a guy who does all that for me already.
