There is no way that I would ever consider handing the reins to a team I didn’t trust to take care of Insomniacs and lead us to even greater heights. Chad, Jen and Ryan are that team. For those who may not be familiar, please take a moment to get to know them here.

I can't believe Ted Price is retiring, woooooooooooooooooooow!!!

I seem to recall that at one time his company kept getting on the list of best game dev companies to work at year after year. I'm not sure if there is a game developer who treated their employees better than he did, minimized crunch as much as he did, or ran his business as well (from the employee side of things). Waaaay back when I was still in college studying game design and programming, he was one of the people I most wanted to work for. Sister studios like Naughty Dog kept changing (for the worse usually) after the initial co-founders left, no idea about Sucker Punch cuz they are secretive (won't even let you get off on their floor - ask me how I know), but Insomniac has been under Ted Price since the beginning, and the company never changed. Only thing is they no longer need Naughty Dog or their tech to achieve technical excellence. They weren't all hits (Sunset Overdrive sucked, Fuse had potential but came up short, R&C: Into The Nexus was rubbish, never played the Resistance series), but by and large they've been a top studio since Spyro 1. Gonna be weird to think about an Insomniac without him. He certainly looks older than I remember. Well I say to him "go have your rest man. You've earned it. And thanks for everything".
