Just tried it myself and memory went down from 7.6 to 5.8 on initial bootup

Using edge with 4 tabs opened went from 8.7 to 6.9

On a laptop with 16gb of ram.

Huh... interesting I normally hover around 20gb of ram used with a browser open (not a tab junky) discord and of course every gaming portal ever in my system tray... Right now I'm at about 16.4 gig... so that doesn't make sense. If it's keeping 2GB MORE of work cached to RAM how is that using LESS ram? Ok reading the article now.

Ok so they changed the memory footprint and stopped widgets from being memory greedy...

This will be great for corporate desktop users on 8gb of ram workstations... You know in 6 to 12 months when their IT teams actually get around to deploying this update.

Of course what will really happen is the hungry security apps will eat ALL of that available memory and users will still be left in the lurch cached to disk.
