I think some of these game creators end up in their own world as time goes by and just lose touch with the one the rest of us are in.

Japanese game designers are especially notorious for being out of touch. Especially nowadays they are clinging on the live service model, and imagine that one game fits all, and it will occupy 100% time of every player.
