We would always pop the breakers during heated fragging.... we each started bringing super long yardwork extension cords to plug into outlets in different parts of the house to spread the load out.
Hahahahahahahaha yeah that was my crew too! Eventually we got pretty good at spreading the load out. First it started with learning which PCs and other equipment could go on which outlets on which walls, and then yeah we started having to break out extension cords and sh1t to access power from other rooms. We also used heavy duty extension cords to tap into different circuits in the house so we wouldn't flip breakers haha
Gawd d4mn man, you're really bringing me back.Power and ethernet cables everywhere, portable tables anywhere you could find room.
Ah yeah, that's another thing I wanted to touch upon: Moving around a fulltower case when you are 20-30 years older is a B1TCH. Thank God we don't have big-*** CRTs anymore! And no one even blinked an eye at hauling their giant full tower PCs and CRT monitors around.
It seems I am the only one who never had this issue, 220V FTW.Hahahahahahahaha yeah that was my crew too! Eventually we got pretty good at spreading the load out. At first we were using BNC cables, and I had a few extra 10Mbit ethernet cards that I'd lend out to those who didn't have their own.Gawd d4mn man, you're really bringing me back.
Most of us had 15" CRTs, I don't think hauling a 38" LCD would be particularly easier.Ah yeah, that's another thing I wanted to touch upon: Moving around a fulltower case when you are 20-30 years older is a B1TCH. Thank God we don't have big-*** CRTs anymore!
