****, that is expensive! What's with these new platforms offering minimal to no improvements but costing both arms and legs?
 
I got this motherboard. While it might not need to be distinctly noted.... this think is HEAVY.. the motherboard is heavier than either of my laptops. :)

I grabbed the Nova from ASRock - but the Carbon was my second choice. Very handsome board, also glad MSI brought back the power and reset buttons to the Carbon line.

I got this motherboard to replace my X870E Nova as these failures of the 9800X3D's with AsRock have been a bit worrisome for me. The Nova was working fine, but I felt my anxiety rise every time I booted the PC up and would occasionally get a black screen on boot that I had to do a hard reset of the PC to get rid of. At first I thought it was the 50 series graphics card, but since switching to the MSI board the issue is gone. AsRock's response to these issues weren't making me feel warm and fuzzy either, especially the socket cleaning theory.
 
Once you've registered on MSI's site there are some promotions for steam credit code's you can get. Don't miss out.
 
Just got 50 dollars in steam wallet codes from MSI for my motherboard purchase. FYI.
