Kovan Yang, an in-house MSI overclocker, has stretched the limits of DDR4 memory by pushing HyperX Predator DDR4 memory all the way to 7.1 GHz using liquid nitrogen. This was achieved using an MSI MEG XZ590I UNIFY mini ITX motherboard with an Intel Core i9-11900K. The motherboard features 10 layers of server-grade PCB and VRMs with direct 8 phase 90A SPS power delivery. He also used the motherboards’ DDR4 Boost feature.
