MSI to Enable AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D BCLK Overclocking on MEG Motherboards with New BIOS Update, Up to 7% Gain in Single-Threaded Performance

It's been revealed that MSI will be rolling out a new BIOS update that will allow lucky owners of AMD's first 3D-V-Cache processor, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, to boost its performance via BCLK overclocking on the manufacturer's MEG X570 motherboards. The new firmware will reportedly be rolled out in just a few days for the MEG X570 GODLIKE, MEG X570 ACE, and MEG X570 Unify motherboards.

Yeah, these can be overclocked but they get hot. Even with a heavy-duty custom loop this guy saw his hit 90c at just over 4.7 GHz.
