Netflix Removing Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and All Other Marvel Shows on March 1

Canceling Netflix has become an even easier decision for Marvel fans who have already grown tired of the streaming service and its increased pricing schemes. As discovered by What’s on Netflix, all of the streamer’s Marvel shows, which include major series such as Daredevil and Jessica Jones, are being removed from the streamer on March 1 due to their rights reverting back to Disney. This can be confirmed by removal notices that appear when users first watch the following shows on a profile:

Daredevil was good. Defenders was good. Jessica Jones has ups and downs, depends on how much you like her. I did not care for Luke Cage so much. Iron fist did not hook me, bailed on episode 2 I think. And I never got around to Punisher (I am not a huge fan of that actor).

If nothing else, watch Daredevil if you haven't and maybe Defenders.

Honestly tho, Daredevil is the main reason I am still a Netflix subscriber. I'll be canceling once they're gone especially since they've gone up in price, again.

Considering the level of gore and violence in these series, I don't see how Disney will host them on their Disney+ area unless they have a Mature section.

Wasn't that what they were going to use Hulu for? Not that I think they will put these shows there, I think Disney will just pick and choose any characters they want out of them, retcon them as they see fit, and let the shows themselves rot.

Hey! I liked Iron fist... Quite a bit actually.

This is hard for my brain to process. I think the show is one of those that crosses the line from being subjectively bad to being objectively bad. That doesn't mean you can't like it of course, but it's bad for a lot of reasons.

Season 2 was definitely an improvement, but being when season 1 is the worst the MCU TV shows have had to offer, you can only do better in season 2.

Licensing

Yes I know but when you actually create something you should have rights to it as well. If you're in a band and co-write songs with them, then get fired from the band, you can still perform those songs because you created them. For example Ozzy's Speak of the Devil record is all old Black Sabbath songs. I know Marvel owns the rights to Daredevil but when they let Netflix make 4 seasons (counting Defenders) of it, it's crazy that they can just show up one day and say you can't show it anymore.
