You never know what you’ll discover when you start digging into the BIOS of a new graphics card, such as deprecated or unannounced features. Igor Wallossek has found something interesting, as has become the norm with this year’s graphics card releases. This was done with the latest BIOS supplied by software engineer Patrick Shur. You might remember Patrick’s name, as he was the one who reported that the ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 6800 XT could boost up to 2.56 GHz.

Is it a secret mode if amd announced it and used it in their charts? It isn't like we didn't know about a rage mode. I'm scratching my head at this one.

AMD had announced it but never fully clarified about its implementation. To be honest it still doesn't sound like they've settled on common language for how it works or what it will do exactly. Igor was the 1st one to find legitimate existence of it in the BIOS while AMD has only spoken about it being some kind of feature, possible user profile, or something using a slider.
