Just a few hours ago, we reported on the possibility of AMD mulling two refreshed Matisse-family processors, the Ryzen 7 3850X and 3750X, to take the shine out of Intel’s new Comet Lake-S CPUs. Now we’re hearing that there may actually be three SKUs on red team’s drawing board. According to Wccftech’s sources, AMD is prepping the following:

I think that would garner a bit of bad blood actually. They should wait and just come out with the next generation. Playing penny ante upgrades is just going to piss off consumers. Like the 2080 super did not a month after I got a 2080.
 
It's not like the Ryzen 9 3900X and 3950X aren't already considerably faster than Intel's Core i9-9900K at most things. As I said in an earlier thread, I don't know how much of an improvement AMD can get from a minor refresh.
 
This move makes me think Zen 3 is going to be delayed or they are worried about the developed economies coming back enough to support its launch. Just think, if Zen 3 is as good as people seem to think it will be, then AMD really want to see those chips fly off the shelves. Anything less looks like a failure.
