Nova Lake may actually hit the mark!

Are you bipolar?

One day its hate intel for everything, the next day praise intel, it's kind of tiring...

100% this. You'll find very few brand fans here. We tend to call out brand fans as gorilla marketers. ;)
Not certain if you are being playful with language; I do it sometimes. My favorite malphorism is rocket surgery. But on the off chance it is auto correct or something that is responsible; it's guerrilla.

On topic: I see Intel canceled the 290K+. Just as well, only a couple of 100Mhz from the 270K+ which they can hopefully price more aggressively. Not that it matter too much, ram and storage pricing is going to repress consumer PC sales. One of the big marketing points is official 7200 support, which is stupid money now.

I'm looking forward to them announcing the 295KS Mega Plus Super Rare Limited Edition, as a consolation prize for people who wanted a super binned Arrow Lake without buying a whole 285K tray of CPUs and going through the pain of binning themselves.

I don't think any of the IHVs give a crap about us DIY shoppers at the moment. We are last in the queue. Su just said their focus is enterprise. We know it's Nvidia's, and gaming GPUs are back burner now. Intel keeps canceling retail products like the B77O and 285K+. They will all keep drifting further away until the AI gold rush is over. Mobile does great for Intel, so they will keep focus there. I am certain they would enjoy ROFLstomping AMD in consumer desktop, but it's probably not a priority. They have to get those dastardly margins up.

Oh that's easy.

All those without Arrow in their knee just grab a 245K or 245KF

Especially those who have sworn never to buy Intel again :P

Look, think about it rationally.

You are "investing" in your and your children's future PC computing evolution and maybe even revolution.

Save Intel. Save the PC. Save DIY.

Because if you don't, the big bad Apple and Nvidia and ARM and who knows what else will lock us into their walled gardens with awful paid/subscription software, 8GB RAM forever and $400 for upgrading from 256GB SSD to 512GB SSD!

290K is back. Now supposedly launching in May as Intel engineers work on "polishing" it further. Could be it gets some special treatment to reduce die temps, contrary to their stupid 14900KS that they recommended should be delidded.

I'll say this if Intel has a top tier consumer DIY CPU when it comes time to upgrade again I'll be there. But before that I need a new top of the line GPU. An XTX from AMD or a x080 variant from Nvidia, or hell whatever intel comes out with if it's truly top tier. I'm no longer the kid buying parts to build a box to play X game well. I just throw expensive parts at it then tinker with settings.

BUT that hopefully helps the younger gamers or less financially stable gamers or arguably... less prone to spending irresponsibly gamers like myself. Better more capable hardware in the exchange.
