It’s no secret that NVIDIA’s new GeForce RTX 3070 only uses GDDR6 memory (the faster, shinier GDDR6X is being reserved for the GeForce RTX 3090 and GeForce RTX 3080 flagships), but there’s been a bit of speculation as to how fast those chips actually are.



ASUS and ZOTAC appear to have the answer. Since this card is sitting ~2080 Ti perf level 14 Gbps should be fine. Seems pretty obvious now that NV is staging their super/refreshes based on what AMD is planning along with whatever deals they've got lined up with Micron.
