Everyone can finally relax: the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, NVIDIA’s mysterious new flagship Ampere graphics card that will likely not only be extremely expensive but also stupidly difficult to find, has an official release date. An embargo document shared by VideoCardz today can confirm that the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti will be launched on Tuesday, March 29. Reviews that reveal whether NVIDIA should have even bothered releasing the GPU or not will also be available beginning on that same day.

GPU releases aren't really exciting any more. I think I actually dread them more than anything -- seeing how the MSRP has drifted upwards again, knowing there won't be anything on the shelves to buy for weeks/months/years,, and even when you do see something to buy it will be at some price that is some multiple higher than the MSRP.

Yet all the influencers and reviewers will call it the best thing ever, and I'm sure it is great, just not meant for mere mortal beings.

I think I have GPU PTSD.

This will be the first top-tier card I've skipped in about three generations. To be honest, I'm pretty happy with a 3090, and I'm sure a 3080 Ti would be the same, for most 4K gaming now. CB 2077 is the only game I really have to dial anything back and even then it's not much. A 3090 Ti, and whatever tops it after, will only really be for those who were not able to upgrade during this gen and even then if they feel it's worth it. I'm not happy with having spent what I have on GPUs in the last couple of years but I definitely am not feeling an urgent need for a GPU upgrade.

I'm in a similar boat at 1440p gaming with my 6800xt. I upgraded my cpu. Motherboard, power supply, storage, and case for the price of what my 6800xt is selling for now. No regrets.

Some of those guys are also fed up with the state of things even if they get a ton of cards for free, they lose subs bye the droves as people can't get the hardware or if they can for obscene prices.

Seen some of their youtube stuff and they almost cba anymore to review stuff that noone can buy anyways.
